Vegans belong here.
A vegan-friendly dating site for people who care about values, not swipe counts. No algorithm hiding your profile. No endless guessing. Just real people looking for real relationships.
Launching first in Montreal. Founding members can join from anywhere. Help us build something better.
The founder gets it
Veganism is not a diet.
It's a moral position. Animals are not objects. And dating someone who doesn't see that is exhausting.
I'm not building this because I want another checkbox on a profile. I'm building it because I live in a world where most people participate in violence every day and call it breakfast.
Veganism, to me, is simple: animals are not ours to use. Not for food, not for entertainment, not for convenience. They're sentient beings, not products.
The modern animal industry is one of the largest systems of organized killing and suffering humanity has ever built. Billions of animals killed every year. Confined, mutilated, separated from their mothers, slaughtered while still conscious. We don't talk about it because it's normalized. We pay other people to do it so we don't have to look.
People who aren't vegan aren't neutral. They're voluntary animal abusers, participating in that system by choice, every day, usually three times a day. I don't say that to be cruel. I say it because if you see it clearly, you can't unsee it, and dating someone who doesn't see it wears you down.
The dating fears nobody talks about
- Am I going to have to watch my partner eat meat on our dates?
- Will they want meat in the home? Dairy in the fridge?
- Will part of my financial contribution to the relationship go toward buying animal products?
- Will my partner want to give animal products to our kids?
For many vegans, that isn't a small compromise. It's a terrifying thought. It eats at you. And swipe apps don't help you figure any of this out before you're already invested.
You shouldn't have to explain why you care. You shouldn't have to debate whether a chicken has an inner life on date two. You shouldn't have to wonder if "I'm fine with your choices" means they'll respect yours for the next forty years.
I built Pretty Good Dating because I wanted a place where that part of who you are isn't treated like a quirky preference. It's load-bearing. It should be visible up front. You deserve someone who already understands.
The apps don't get that either. Here's what else they get wrong. โ
Sound familiar?
Dating apps weren't built for us
If you've tried vegan dating apps or mainstream swipe apps, you already know the drill.
Algorithm roulette
You update your photos, rewrite your bio, and still get zero matches. The app decides who sees you, and it's not working.
They think it's a food preference
Swipe apps bury what you actually believe. You find out three dates in that they're not interested in your values, or worse, they think veganism is a "phase."
Noise and bots
Between scammers, bots, and people who aren't serious about dating, it's hard to tell who's real and who's wasting your time.
Instantly scannable
The ๐ฑ badge stands out
On every profile card, vegan is one of the most prominent badges. Green background, seedling icon, impossible to miss next to height, body type, and the rest.
You see who's vegan before you read a word of their bio. No hunting through paragraphs. No guessing.
Search on your terms
Filter by food & lifestyle
Vegan isn't a diet, but the search groups how people eat and live so you can show only vegan or vegetarian people. No more scrolling past profiles that were never going to work.
Built with you in mind
What makes this different for vegan dating
Not a vegan-only app โ but a values-first dating site where plant-based singles are visible from the start.
Your stance on animals, upfront
Vegan, vegetarian, and how flexible you are about a partner's choices are on every profile, not buried in a bio you'll never read.
Mutual intent, not spam
Men send chat requests (5 per day), women accept (5 per day). No spammy pickup lines. If someone reaches out, they chose you specifically.
Real humans only
Every account is manually reviewed before it goes live. Phone verification and a small paywall keep bots and scammers out.
No more guessing
"Am I even being shown to anyone?"
On swipe apps, decent people get buried by algorithms optimized for engagement, not relationships. On Pretty Good Dating, you get stats that mean something. You can see who viewed your profile. You get counts on how many people saved you, not a list of names. And clear numbers on your chat requests: sent, accepted, declined, your accept rate.
It's mostly aggregate, not a play by play of every interaction. But you're not flying blind anymore.
"34 people opened my profile last week. 3 saves. 75% accept rate on my requests. That's not a lot, but at least I'm not guessing."
We need you
Help us launch, starting with this community
I'm building this with the vegan and activist circles I know best. But I need early members to prove intentional dating works. Only 1,000 founding spots. Once they're gone, they're gone.
Permanent recognition as an OG member
Everyone will know you were here from the start
I'm Sheldon. I know how to code, so I'm building the dating site I wish existed: no tricks, no shadow bans, no investor pressure to keep you swiping forever. No algorithm hiding your profile while you wonder if anyone can even see you.
I'm starting with the community I know best. If you've read this far, you're probably part of it. Join as a founding member and help us prove that intentional dating works.

Is Pretty Good Dating a vegan-only dating site?

How is this different from Veggly and other vegan dating apps?
Most vegan dating apps are swipe-based clones with small user pools. It was built by a vegan activist as a values-first dating site, not a vegan-only walled garden. See our Veggly comparison โ
Can I filter to show only vegan or vegetarian singles?
Yes. Search filters include a Food & lifestyle section where you can filter to vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and other options. Vegan profiles also show a prominent green ๐ฑ badge on every profile card.
