Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Pretty Good Dating ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Pretty Good Dating is operated by Sheldon Stewart ("we", "us", "our"). The Service is currently in a pre-launch/founding member phase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You may not create more than one account per person. Accounts found to be duplicates may be removed without notice.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Upload content that is obscene, offensive, hateful, or discriminatory
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service
• Solicit money or commercial services from other users
• Spam, scam, or deceive other users in any way
• Share or distribute another user's personal information without consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

4a. Community Safety & Reporting

Pretty Good Dating is committed to maintaining a safe community. All accounts are manually reviewed and approved by a real person before being activated. To protect users:

• Reporting: Users can report profiles or messages for harassment, spam, inappropriate content, or suspected fraud. All reports are reviewed by our team.
• Blocking: Users can block any other user. Blocked users cannot view your profile, send you messages, or interact with you in any way.
• Rate limits: Chat requests are limited to 5 per day to prevent spam and protect users from unwanted contact overload.
• Enforcement: Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination depending on severity.

5. Content & Photos

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, text, profile information). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit and that it does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.

We do not actively monitor all user content but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is reported by other users.

6. Founding Member Program

The founding member program assigns users a number based on their registration order and referral activity. Founding member perks (badges, priority access, etc.) are offered on a best-effort basis and may evolve as the Service develops.

Referral rewards are subject to change and are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to modify the referral program at any time.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline. We do not conduct background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pretty Good Dating and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the Service's settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
